Purpose

“Elderly vegan gym rat” is somewhat of a small section of the population, but I'm very certain that I'm not the only one! Whether you are a vegan/plant-based eater, a lifter, or are getting on in years—or any combination of these—I hope you can take some inspiration from this page to further your health journey.

About Me

I'm Suzy, aka the Vegan Mimi. I've been lifting off and on since high school, and have been vegetarian since 1980, vegan since 2011. I'm getting back into working out after a couple of surgeries, and am navigating the reality of keeping fit as an elderly person while recuperating.

On a more personal note, I'm a proud mom of 2 beautiful daughters and Mimi to 3 beautiful granddaughters. I live in a tiny house in a tiny college town with my cat and two dogs. Being healthy so I can be around longer for my family is my north star.
